My name is Roberto Almeida. I have a 13 year old low functioning autistic son that is in grave danger. Approx 5 weeks ago he was hospitalized in Guadalajara, Mexico for self-inflicted injuries in which doctors feared that he may lose his sight. Since this time he has been under continuous sedation, restrained to his bed, and requires 24 hour supervision. We are desperately trying to get him back into the states via medical transport, as taking him in a private car is not an option due to his condition at this time. We are trying to get him to Rady Children´s Hospital in San Diego that specializes in autism. We do not have the funds required to transport him properly, and are desperately seeking help. Being under sedation and bed ridden for this extended amount of time can lead to an array of other medical problems, septic shock, and even death.
My son, Jose Almeida, is a US citizen of Riverside County in California. He is currently in Guadalajara, Mexico, and we desperately need help to get him back to safety, and in professional care in the United States. We have spoken with many people trying to get this worked out, and have found that Air Response http://www.airresponse.ne... seems to be the quickest, safest, and most efficient way to transport him. This service is approx $7000. We are begging for any help to get my son to safety. Hi, my name is Sheena Roberts. My husband and I was blessed with a baby boy 2 yrs ago. We live in eastern Kentucky, my husband was a coal miner for 7 years, and now most of the mines are closed down, he was laidoff in October, and since then we have lost everything we've ever owned. We now have to live with his parents while we both try to find jobs. If he goes to the consulate with his social security number, they should be able to start the paperwork and all for him to get it. You could also utilize the online sites that allow you to send for birth certificates.

Thank you for your wise advice, but his parents are dead and no (living) relatives with access to personal records. Maybe the consulate will have other suggestions. Traveling for him is almost impossible and he is staying with a man there (out of the goodness of this man).

If you can get his parents to get you a copy of his birth certificate, you can take that to a consulate here who can fax it there which will help him get his new passport. He needs to go to the US consulate there.
